Arsène, you were a merchant tailor on Saint-Laurent street. Catholic and a Freemason. Not easy in those days! Your self-pride would have given you away. Frustrated at having lost an election which would have elevated your rank, you left the Freemasonry, leading to the disappearance of your clientele and eventual bankruptcy. Your wife, Mary Jane Biron, we pronounced her first name in English, died while giving birth to her eighteenth child. Back then, you had to bring the youngest of your children to the orphenage. But you never let go. Towards the end of your life, you threw a soft drink, the Pincola Dion. We still ca rry on your hypnotic abilities. Is this the reason why you never let me paint your portrait?
